Review- The Lincoln Lawyer

The Lincoln Lawyer - A legal thriller of the first order, it's comfortably in league with other greats in that sub-genre like The Firm, Michael Clayton and Presumed Innocent - just to name a few.

I couldn't help but wonder why Matthew McConaughey has wasted so much of his career in so many of those awful "romcoms"- the dude is excellent in this, displaying presence, likeability and acting chops to spare. The film is rock-solid in nearly every facet- it's well-written, deftly directed and sports a ton of familiar faces putting in very good work in small doses- featuring Marisa Tomei, Josh Lucas, Bryan Cranston (Malcom In The Middle), John Leguizamo, Ryan Phillippe, William H. Macy and Trace Adkins. My only nit-pick is that it falls a bit short of a crowd-pleasing, home-run of an ending. Highly Recommended.
